Five Iranians jailed for ‘ice’ smuggling $1.3 million in 'ice'
Five Iranian men were arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport in three separate crystal methamphetamine smuggling cases involving a total weight of 12.3 kilogrammes of the drug, valued at Bt43 million (US$1.3 million), according to Thailand's Customs Department. Cambodia seize 12.9 million smuggled cold pills
Police have arrested a man for smuggling into Cambodia a huge quantity of cold medicine containing an essential ingredient used to manufacture the illegal stimulant methamphetamine. A prosecutor of Banteay Meanchey province, So Vat, said that 35-year old An Pheakdey was charged Wednesday with three offenses related to smuggling medicine. Customs seizes shabu chemicals hidden in 32 drums
The Bureau of Customs has confiscated 32 drums of a controlled substance used to manufacture shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in what it described as the biggest drug bust in the agency’s history. The confiscated cargo, toluene, was enough to manufacture two tons of shabu worth P1.5 billion, the bureau said in a press statement. Customs Commissioner Angelito “Lito” A. Nine foreigners arrested, huge quantity of drugs seized
The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested nine RPT nine persons, including, six Iranians, a Dutch and an Indian national, after it raided two factories here and seized chemical drugs worth over Rs 25 crore. NCB officials said that based on specific intelligence, a search was carried out in two factories in Thane. Airport security foils drug smuggler
Security personnel at Polonia International Airport in Medan foiled an attempt to smuggle 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 12,500 Ecstasy pills worth Rp 2.5 billion (US$277.5 million). he authorities detained Lim Sin Co, who was traveling from Medan to Jakarta by Citilink, in connection with the smuggling attempt. Two men charged with importing over $46m of pseudoephedrine
An operation involving the Australian Federal Police (AFP), Australian Customs and Border Protection (ACBP) and the Australian Crime Commission (ACC) has resulted in the seizure of 174 kilograms of pseudoephedrine with an estimated street value of $46 million and led to the arrest of two people. A 25-year-old Chipping Norton man and a 44-year-old Bonnyrigg man are scheduled to appear before Sydney Central Local Court today charged (Continued..)

Operation Slab - Clan Labs Investigation
Six Clan Labs that have been actively manufacturing Methamphetamine and Ecstasy have been located and dismantled in a multi police district operation yesterday. More than 200 investigators executed 22 search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act at identified addresses in six Police Districts – Metropolitan Auckland, Waikato, Northland and Wellington. ‘Drugs in container’ ring busted
Police have crippled an international drug syndicate which has been shipping in drugs from Taiwan using containers via Port Klang. More than a dozen suspects, including Singaporeans and other foreign nationals, have been arrested in a series of raids in Selangor, Malacca and Johor over the past few days, said sources. RM2.6 million syabu seized from Iranians
Their chances of passing airport security checks are very slim but that doesn't stop drug mules from trying to enter the country. In the latest incident two days ago, three Iranians were caught red-handed by the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) police narcotic department for trying to smuggle syabu (methamphetamine) worth a whopping RM2.6 million, hidden in their luggage. 112 Nabbed For Drugs In 2 Months
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has registered a 22 per cent rise in drug-related arrests in the months of June and July compared to the same period last year. The bureau said 112 people were detained for misuse of drugs activities in the two months this year compared to 92 last year. In one of the drug busts in the Belait District in July, the raiding party also seized a gas gun along with bullets and handed over to the police for action (Continued..)
